Mighty Thunder won his third chase from four starts this afternoon when taking the valuable Edinburgh National at Musselburgh. Getting into a great rhythm and jumping economically, he stayed on well from the home turn to give his owners Allson Sparkle and jockey Blair Campbell a memorable win. This could be the start of an exciting staying chase career for Mighty, and for the yard he is an exciting horse to have in training. Thanks to Hannah who looks after, rides and dotes on Mighty and to the whole yard for their justified extra hard work through the last five weeks of horrendous winter weather.
Diamond State and Spark Of Madness ran in their first handicap hurdle, and while Spark Of Madness found the ground a bit soft, Diamond State ran on well to be third. Both horses have good futures in front of them.
Boys On Tour also fond the ground a little soft, but his sixth place will set him up for the spring and summer and we are looking forward to good ground chases with him.
