Corach Rambler Wins For The Second Time Over Hurdles

Corach Rambler is fast becoming a horse to dream about as he won his second three mile novice hurdle from three runs. Relaxed behind the leader, Derek produced our stayer at the last and stayed on to win by two and a bit lengths. Bought in the autumn Corach is proving to be a horse to dream about as he has all the attributes to be even better over fences. His owners The Ramblers have one place left, there are more details on the FOR SALE pages; please join Thomas, Alistair, Gary, Bill, Keith and Paul on their journey. What is next for him? We will see the handicap mark that he gets and decide, but it will likely be a higher grade novice next month.

Well Above Par ran right back to form with a front running effort, to just find one too good for him. However, this was a most heartening effort and the team deserves plenty of credit for getting him right. He should be able to go on.

We have had a number of better runs over the past week, including a super effort by Diamond State who was second at Musselburgh, and fourths from Mannochmore who loves chasing, Gemologist who now heads to the Northern Lights Finals, and a most encouraging run from four year old Netywell in the bumper at Kelso; he looks a quality type.

Finally, on the flat, Ballyare is running consistently well; second at Wolverhampton then fourth at Newcastle. He will likely be aimed at the turf season now with a nice race at Musselburgh in his targets.
