A busy three days coming up for the yard as Perth hold their Spring Festival meeting.
Always known for its competitive racing but party atmosphere the three days will be a little more sober than in the past, but we are delighted that it is back in some form and especially with owners allowed to attend.
Here are our runners for the first two days.
Today Southern Girl makes her awaited return to the track and should enjoy the watered good ground. She has shown promise in the past and her mark looks fair.
A Ladies Milan will also be happier on the ground and I think that the flat track will help him in the final few furlongs. A straightforward ride he has the able assistance of this year's Aintree Foxhunters winning jockey James King.
We have five more runners on Thursday starting with Perth specialist Boys On Tour. He is a pound out of the handicap but should be more at home here than he was at Kelso last time, and he has run well under similar conditions to today.
Two in the veterans' chase, Katalystic, and Chanceiton. Katalystic is under regular pilot Stephen and he has run well fresh in the past, including when winning here last August. Chanceiton has been a super horse for the yard and has another young jockey on him as he bids to give Patrick his first winner under rules.
Spark Of Madness is a chasing type who should stay further in time. He runs in the first division of the two mile handicap hurdle and is an improving type.
Finally, Effet Special runs in the second division; ex French he can be headstrong yet is also known to drop the bridle through his races so we have added a pair of cheekpieces to help him become more consistent. His sole win for us came round here under similar conditions.
